We are so excited about the entertainment line up for this year's show and also our brand new Friday night Community Carnival. The Community Carnival will feature exciting acts like a comedic juggler, chainsaw carving artist, Mr. Blank Slate paintable living statue, free kids character portraits as well as a community open mic.  Stoyer is an award-winning vocalist and singer-songwriter currently based in Denver, Colorado. Born and raised in New York, Stoyer's music takes on the rustic and powerful atmosphere of his upbringing, as he often writes and performs music deeply rooted in the ideas of human connection.

Park Hill Community Carnival
5 pm - 8 pm

5 pm - 7:30 pm World renowned chainsaw sculptor Dave Shelton. You may have seen him at a state fair or on one or all of Denver's TV stations, or maybe saw the story of his home being burned down. But Idaho Springs resident Dave Shelton is a chainsaw maestro. With carvings displayed all over the world, we are so excited Dave will join us Friday afternoon/evening of the festival to live carve two 3-foot bear sculptures. At 7:30, the sculptures will be auctioned off to help with Dave's home re-building fund. Dave's home, artwork, and custom carved guitars were needlessly destroyed by an arsonist. Free Children's Theme Portraits
5:30-8 pm

 Be a pirate or princess, cowboy or train engineer and much more! And kids don't even have to sit still! Children can choose their favorite theme portrait to be drawn in just 2 minutes from a live sitting by "the Fastest Draw in the West", Cecelia Eidemiller. Cecelia is an award winning portrait artist and has completed over 50,000 portraits that are hanging in homes throughout the world. Thanks to her quick profile technique that features speed, artistry and accuracy she can draw a realistic portrait in just five minutes or you can commission a full length oil portrait of museum quality. Cecelia will be a part of the show for the rest of the weekend to do full charcoal portraits. You can schedule your sitting with her at the show!

Mr. Blank Slate
5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

 Living paintable statue Mr. Blank Slate joins us at The Park Hill Art Festival for our evening Community Carnival. Starting at 5:30 pm, Mr. Blank Slate not only looks like a statue but you can paint him too! Kids will be giggling as they colorize Mr. Slate in a wide variety of colors from a real artist palette. How much fun is it to paint a real person! Don’t miss it!

Reid Belstock
6 pm - 7 pm

  Reid began juggling at the age of 15, as a way of overcoming gross and fine motor skill impairment. One year later, Reid began his first performing opportunity at Elitch Gardens. From the very first show, he knew it was a calling. After high school, Reid went off to study with the famed Ringling Brothers, and Barnum and Bailey Circus Clown College, where he learned the fine art of Slapstick and Physical Comedy. He has performed in many cities across the US, in Las Vegas, and numerous stints on cruise ships.

Saturday, May 18th

10:00 am - 12 pm - Karen Osburn & Clip Cookson 

Karen Osburn is a talented singer, band leader and songwriter in the Denver area. Her voice is beautiful and stunning with echoes of Karen Carpenter, Anne Murray, and Patsy Cline. Clip Cookson is 10 string pedal steel guitar master. Clip has played country shows in Nashville, with Doug
Kershaw in Texas, and with the fine jazzer Keith Jarit. 
In 1996 Clip met up with musical legend, Karen Osburn. She taught him how to play jazz standards that she had played with her dad from childhood.
The duo plays several kinds of music including old and new country, jazz, bluegrass and older classic and pop songs from the 40s through 90s as well as Karen's favorite artists like Patsy Cline.

Isabelle Stillman
12 pm - 1 pm & 1:30 - 2:30 

Isabelle Stillman is a singer-songwriter new to the Denver/Boulder music scene. Her sound mixes folk, country, Americana, and occasional blues and jazz influences. She is currently completing her debut release but singles can be found on iTunes. She is a high school English teacher in her spare time.

$1000 Art Festival Shopping Spree Drawing 1 pm 

How would it feel to win a shopping spree filled with the art YOU CHOOSE! CCM Events and The Park Hill Art Festival is giving away a $1000 Art Festival Shopping Spree! $1000 drawing is at 1 pm on Saturday the 18th. No purchase necessary to obtain a ticket but winners must be present to win! Shopping spree drawing tickets will be distributed by artists on Friday AND Saturday at the show - so the sooner you come, the more likely you will be to get a ticket! Only a limited number of tickets available. To enter, simply ask an artist at the show for a ticket and be present for the drawings. Shopping sprees are limited to purchases made at The Park Hill Art Festival's artist booths.

Park Hill Residents --- Check your door for a drawing ticket the week before the festival. You can also get a ticket at some local Park Hill businesses or from any artist at the festival.

Tenderline Bridge
3:00 pm - 5 pm 

 Tenderline Bridge is a father\daughter musical duo made up of Allen and Haley Krehbiel. Allen is a singer-songwriter of contemporary country music that "means something". Songs that carry a message and touch the heart. Songs by Allen or his duo with Haley are available on iTunes, Spotify, or Amazon. From Allen - "Yes, I understand that 'Krehbiel' isn't the best name for promotion of a music artist, but I do the best I can with what my Dad gave me. It's pronounced 'Kray'-bull' (like table, stable, able...), and I'm proud of it! :-)"

Sunday, May 19th

 Gospel Joy 11:00 am - 1 pm

Laura Richardson (vocals & acoustic guitar), Dave Robison (banjo), Lorretta Thompson (fiddle), & Wade Hankins (bass) bring beautiful old time gospel favorites with a Bluegrass twist. Band leader Laura Richardson is currently working on her new release follow up to popular "Graceful" CD. The band is not only plays music but is also integrally active in a ministry serving the homeless. Now that's how you start a Sunday morning!

Rockabilly Ricky Dean
3:30 pm - 5 pm 

 Rounding out the rollicking entertainment of The Park Hill Art Festival is Ricky Dean. Ricky is a Denver-based Rockabilly and Country singer/songwriter dedicated to the love, creation, and performance of real Americana music. It’s a journey that lured him from his native Nebraska to Los Angeles then Las Vegas, Nashville and beyond.

As Lead Singer and Rhythm Guitarist for the seminal Rockabilly band Redline Rockets, he thrilled audiences with his signature retro sounds of “Downhome effin’ Honkabilly” at hundreds of regional and national shows, sharing the bill with the likes of Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis,Wanda Jackson, Peter & Gordon, Graham Nash, Dale Watson, and many others. 

Ricky’s band wowed the crowds for three straight years at the world famous Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekender Festival, and opened the main stage of the 50th Anniversary Buddy Holly Tribute,sponsored by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame at the legendary Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa.

Ricky Dean’s original tunes have enjoyed worldwide sales and acclaim, including interest from major recording labels, and Country superstars such as George Jones and Jim Ed Brown. A music magazine review in England raved about one of his songs as “destined to become a Rockabilly classic.”
